Another Few Thousand Credit-Card Numbers Stolen
CNET reports that Bibliofind.com, a wholly owned subsidiary of Amazon.com, exposed its customer database to a hacker, back in October… There are two lessons to be learned here: First, don’t let any site keep your card number on file. Second, if you’re Amazon, do a security check on companies you buy so that they don’t end up causing a PR nightmare.
